Job Summary

New Beginning HCSP, LLC is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and flexible individual to join our team as a Floater.

 This position provides support across multiple areas of our agency, including transporting individuals to medical appointments, assisting with daily activities at our Day Habilitation Program, and providing meal support as needed.

 The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, patient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while helping ensure the safety, well-being, and quality of care of the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Client Transportation

  •  Safely transport individuals to and from medical appointments and other authorized destinations.
  •  Ensure individuals arrive at appointments on time and receive appropriate assistance entering and exiting vehicles.
  •  Assist individuals with mobility needs while following established safety procedures.
Day Habilitation Support

  •  Assist Day Habilitation staff with supervising and supporting individuals during daily activities.
  •  Encourage participation in recreational, social, and skill-building activities.
  •  Provide assistance with daily living needs as appropriate to individual support plans and staff training.
  •  Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  •  Provide additional coverage during staffing shortages, busy periods, or other operational needs.

Kitchen Support

  •  Assist kitchen staff with meal preparation and serving.
  •  Support proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
  •  Provide kitchen coverage when additional assistance is needed.
Qualifications & Requirements

  •  High school diploma or GED preferred.
  •  Valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  •  Ability to safely operate agency vehicles and transport individuals.
  •  Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
  •  Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
  •  Ability to adapt to changing daily assignments and responsibilities.
  •  Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
  •  Ability to perform essential job duties, including assisting individuals with mobility, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  •  Must successfully complete required background screenings and agency training.

Compensation: $13.00 per hour
